Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma inaugurated the ‘Know Your Army’ exhibition in Jaipur, highlighting India’s defence strength and legacy, especially post-Operation Sindoor.
Jaipur, January 8, 2026: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma inaugurated the ‘Know Your Army’ exhibition in Jaipur, calling it a significant effort to bring the nation’s armed forces closer to the common people. Speaking at the event, the CM emphasized that Rajasthan is a land of valor, home to India’s largest international border, and a proud legacy of brave warriors and martyrs.
In a powerful address, CM Sharma stated that Operation Sindoor showcased India’s unwavering commitment to defending its sovereignty and combating terrorism. “The entire world witnessed India’s resolve. Our nation has prioritized indigenous defence production, reinforcing self-reliance and military strength,” he said.
Highlighting India’s Military Modernization
The CM praised the central leadership, asserting that Prime Minister Modi’s vision has led to unprecedented modernization of the armed forces. From the icy terrains of Siachen to the vast Thar desert, Indian soldiers stand as the unwavering shield of the nation. He referred to key military operations like Operation Parakram, Operation Rakshak, and Operation Sindoor, noting that each showcased India’s ability to respond with strength and precision.
India’s Defence Growth at Record Levels
Chief Minister Sharma also spotlighted India’s booming defence industry, revealing that India’s defence production has hit an all-time high of ₹1.51 lakh crore, with defence exports crossing ₹23,622 crore. Under the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiatives, defence self-reliance has become a cornerstone of the country’s strategic goals.
Rajasthan – Land of Heroes
Reiterating the proud military heritage of Rajasthan, CM Sharma remembered legendary heroes such as Param Vir Chakra awardees Piru Singh and Major Shaitan Singh, and Lt. Gen. Sagat Singh, saying that their bravery continues to inspire generations.
“Rajasthan is both the karmabhoomi and janmabhoomi of India’s bravest warriors,” he said, adding that the exhibition offers the public a chance to see military parades, weapons, and advanced defence technologies up close.

The ‘Know Your Army’ exhibition is open to the public and showcases modern warfare equipment, technologies, and training insights. It allows citizens—especially youth—to gain awareness of military life and inspires patriotism through immersive demonstrations.
